Safiya U. Noble is an associate professor at UCLA, co-director of the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry and a faculty advisor to the UCLA Bedari Kindness Institute. She is the author of “Algorithms of Oppression: How Search Engines Reinforce Racism.”
